Why didn’t I know this sooner?
M KainHappy September everyone!
Every so often, I stumble on something that makes me stop mid-scroll and think "oh, this is going to change the way I make art". Sometimes it’s a new brush set, sometimes it’s a piece of software, and sometimes it’s a technique I can’t believe I didn’t try it sooner.
This month, it’s "draw a head using a square". I’ve been playing with it nonstop, and it’s already making my process smoother and way more enjoyable. People tend to use the Loomis method, and after a decade of failing to learn and relearn the basics of human anatomy, it has finally clicked by using a simple box shape rather than the inconsistent circle.
I know so many of you love experimenting with new creative tools as much as I do, so I thought I’d share this one with you. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just someone who wants to start, this is the kind of thing that can spark new ideas and make you want to sit down and create.
Curious? Check it out here and maybe it'll help you too. Try it out, play around, and see what it does for your own creative flow. You might just find your new favorite thing too.
Okay, talk soon!
