Ink, ideas, & October Magic ✷

M Kain

Happy October!

October will always be my favorite month. Not because of Halloween, but because it's an excuse to work with pen and paper and have a solid plan to finish a lot of artwork each day (I love the stress that art brings). I never think I’m ready for Inktober, but then the first pen stroke hits the page and suddenly I remember why I love it: the freedom of working with just ink, no pressure for perfection, just pure creation and messy hands.

This month, I'm actually prepared for Inktober, rather than previous years, where I scramble at the last minute and never finish more than a week's worth of work. It seems like I'll be finishing my sketchbook with this year's Inktober, and so far, it's been both a challenge and a joy, and I’d love to share what I’ve been creating this month.

Click here to see my Inktober pieces and follow along as I keep adding to the collection. Maybe you’ll even get a spark for your own sketchbook this season.

Okay, talk soon!
